Examinations typically take place following the research phase. However, if necessary, we are flexible and can arrange for earlier assessments to meet your timeline and specific needs.
Given the high value and delicate nature of works by artists like Manet, we recommend avoiding shipping unless absolutely necessary. To minimize risks, we offer various remote options for conducting the examination:
We conduct examinations using:
We employ a wide range of scientific techniques to authenticate works of art, including material analysis, dating methods, specialized photography, and forensic studies.
The time required to authenticate a painting, drawing, or print by Édouard Manet depends on the complexity of the work. For straightforward pieces, the process typically takes a few days. For more complex or disputed works, the evaluation may take anywhere from several weeks to a few months.
There is no additional charge for a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). If your artwork is authenticated as genuine, the COA will be included in the final report at no extra cost.
Many of our initial services, such as answering questions or providing a rough value estimate, are offered at no charge. However, more advanced services require a fee. Our fees for detailed analysis and authentication begin at $300, depending on the complexity and scope of the artwork.
To ensure the integrity of our process and avoid conflicts of interest, payment must be made upfront for our services.
No, we cannot accept payment after the artwork has been sold. Accepting post-sale payments could create a conflict of interest and compromise the impartiality of our evaluation.
Yes, our authentications are widely accepted by leading auction houses globally. Our comprehensive research and detailed reports, supported by scientific data and historical evidence, ensure that our findings meet the highest standards of scrutiny.
